Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
Personally I am a fan of Age of Sigmar and I will support it in any way I can. Here in Greece the community is fractured and since we were not so many guys to begin with we experience the problem of having too many fantasy sub-communities. Now regarding the 9th age I am not about to play a game made...

Re: AoS Point Cost Algorithm!
Now its my turn to vent. Every game I played in 8th edition came down to my opponent 6-dicing some nuke spell. Is that strategy? Soldiers used the phalanx formation from before 2000 BC until the advent of trench warfare in the early days of the last century. The reason the phalanx became obsolete w...

Re: Games Workshop Store:
Had an extremely quick look at the White Dwarf due out this Saturday; in the back the dryads were on pre-order for £25; but as stated elsewhere there are now 16 in the box, so only a minimal price hike (about £1), as they worked out at £1:50 per model when £18 for 12. Absolute Bargain when compared...

Re: Treeman Ancient
I did try the Treeman Ancient and I liked his job up until I played a 1500 pts battle where I used him as my only character and a lucky rock lobba pulverised him first turn with one shot. Asside from that though he has a serious drawback: He sports leadership 10. On itself it is good, but when you a...

Re: Battlescribe Data File for new book
I might have found another thing... people here have stated that the arrows that do not suffer to hit penalties cost 2 slaves while in your file you have them listed with a cost of 1,5 slaves. Now I have no way to confirm which of the two values is correct but unless you are sure perhaps a small inv...

Re: Battlescribe Data File for new book
Many thanks for the great work mate!
Question: According to your file Waywatchers have no maximum gap for their number of models per unit. So for example we can have a unit of 20 or 25 of them without problem?
Thanks in advance.

That is a great result. Nicely done mate!
Personally though I would keep this forest for display as I fear the use for battles may damage it.

Re: Version 3 of My Complete Revised Wood Elf Codex
Well, you'd probably give the guy Heavy Armor, a Weapon or Shield, and maybe the Stone of Rebirth if you want him worth mentioning in combat. Otherwise yeah, 215 points. Personally I would at least give him some protection and not for making him a combat character, but to protect him from getting k...

Re: Version 3 of My Complete Revised Wood Elf Codex
I must say I dissagree regarding the bow of Lathain. Since you pay almost 300pts for it, yes it should kill at least 200pts of enemy units. If not there is no purpose using it. Also as a general observation you used a wrong army to test this list. High Elves are the most weak against shooting army, ...

I keep telling my friend who plays VC to do this. Tell me what you guys think. What's need: Vamp Lord, Crown of Command, Lore of Fire, in a unit of 15-20 Grave Guard Wright King, BSB, +1 to hit banner Grave Guard x 29-39, Full Command, Great Weapons. Place BSB in large unit of Grave Guard. Place th...

Re: Highborn Build w/Eternal Guard Thoughts?
Hmm, if I run a Highborn in Eternal Guard, I tend to run something like this: (251) Highborn: Armor of Silvered Steel, Dawnstone, Annoyance of Nettlings, Potion of Foolhardiness, Great Weapon with these two characters: (350) Spellweaver: Level 4 Wizard, Rhymer's Harp, Dispel Scroll (142) Noble: Bat...

Re: Version 3 of My Complete Revised Wood Elf Codex
9.5/10 good Sir. I feel you are close to the end. My only suggestions for this version: - I think it is better for the Treeman to have the boulder as an otion for 10pts and still be 250 otherwise. Better to have the choice imo. - The Treekin were good ay 60pts. No need for extra cost for them ...

It certainly sounds very interesting. I didn't play in any of your previous campaigns but I would love to try this out. I suppose I will go ahead and sign up on the other forum then. Animosity Campaigns are by far the best out there and if you like fluff and strategy I guarantee you'll have fun. :n...

Indeed. Combine it with the spite that gives an extra dispel dice and the Wand of Wynch Elm and you'll have a massive magic defence (with a certain spiced cost though).Furion wrote:I also like the Divination Orb because it has that control element which I find quite fluffy for the Asrai.

Re: Warhawk riders are they any good
What else do we have for that though? Eagles are 50pts each and taken down just as easily... Wild Riders are more expensive with fewer wounds and Moonstone'd Wardancers can't be guaranteed that there's an available forest... Being obligated to maximize the models that attack combined with the base ...

Re: Our Arcane Items
See I'm considering using it to force my opponents into one of two positions: 1. They don't want me to have the dispel dice so cast with 3 or fewer dice (which allows me to cherry pick what I'm going to dispel); or 2. They throw everything at something like Dwellers (throwing 70%+ of your power dic...

-GG: I included 1" apart yes. As you say, playing with enough terrain negates this tactic. -WR: I chose WR because they have a long charge range, and are likely to break and run down what they hit. It's also a big risk, failure to cast Fae bewitchment probably means dead WRs next turn. A perfe...

I like the Spite Swarm (or Fae Swarm as it would be more to my liking of a name) but I agree with Shandrakor's comments on them. They must be unstable and also 2-6 limit is much better and down to earth in my opinion. 45 points is the optimum cost per base and I would also make them 0-1 choice becau...

Re: How to use Glade Riders
Indeed good arguments mate. As much as I like the models, in this edition they need to become much cheaper (like 18pts or something) in order to worth the investment.
p.s. As I also play with High Elves I can see were you're coming from with your thoughts regarding Ellyrian Reavers.
