Give the NMM a break for a while, working on the basics like neatness, good highlights and thin paints more, then start working more on blending and perhaps then but there is no point going onto more advanced techniques when you've not mastered the basics.

Not really Eldy, only 15 days. 2000pts is certainly the best as it allows for your tactical selection to still be tested but for you to have some fun.

It's quite well painted but it was a bad choice of scheme to win a painting contest, you want a colour which really shows of your painting talents and can have a lot done with it which black doesn't allow.

The cloaks look darn good on the multi picture, my advice would be to tone down the leather, get a smoother colour on the world and have a darker start for the flesh as it looks to be not that well highlighted .

I don't like them at all, they haven't really been detailed and the hihglights are crude, the leaves are flat and the bases poor.

They are nasty, everything looks very flat and the horses look poor and wiothout much attention payed to them.

My best advice is too check some birds of prey books.
