Re: New players, Old players..
Im just reading through the majority of these posts on here. My first thought, if I may put it out, is that the "older players" (By which I mean those playing since 6th, 7th..and now into 8th) are generally quite wary of the rules, whilst the "newer" are quite excited by them. D...

He's like a boy with action figures and a multimillion dollar budget. And we all know we would kill (him) to be him :P It's Transformers: a marketing product to sell toys. It was that in the 80's and it's that in 2009. Go see it if you like: * Big robots fighting against other big robots. * Megan F...

Re: Apparently we are all very evil, very bad people
Yes, I guess violent video games and boardgames and films are the root of all evil. Not like bad parenting, violence in their homes, or lack of attention of those parents, lack of decent schools, etc... I remember when I was in primary school and my mom was in a Parents meeting at the school where t...

Re: Renegade Reavers of the Ark of Exile 2k Hall of Heroes List
ok, before someone comments on your list, you need to explain what's your overall strategy and goals with this lists. Also, where are you planning to field your heroes, etc... Because right now, it's just a bunch of numbers and units put together. It's a tournament, a league, is there some sort of c...

Re: What other games do you play?
Indeed, DBM is the natural progression of DBA. Also, FOG uses the same basing and type of units. So with the same miniatures you can play 3 different games!

Re: What other games do you play?
Well, from the games I play (which aren't many) I can recommend you DBA. This is a great resource place. And here you can find the unofficial guide of the rulebook (I think it's better than the original rulebook, with more clear and concise rules). The rulebook and army books are not expensive and y...

Just fyi. The campaign is completely on-line. You don't actually play battles with miniatures.LoDark wrote:Interesting. I might join up just to see how this works. I need to brake my recent fascination with 40K anyway. My Wood Elves haven't killed anything in a stupidly long time.

Re: Asrai.org - The cess pit of immorality, apparantly
I clicked the thing to ask orange to review their position and they got back to me and said that they maintain their belief that asrai.org is an 18+ site not suitable for minors. And what's the reason they gave you? Because "believing" that some thing is not suitable for minors is differe...

Re: What other games do you play?
I'd be interested in both Fantasy and historical wargames, and not in any particular scale... the cheaper the better though :smirk: . Look, DBA is an abstract game (some claim it's too abstract), but I love it. It's a very tactical game where even the most simple psiloi (skirmishers) unit can win a...

Re: What other games do you play?
Besides all the GW's games I don't play anymore I've a couple of games I play. First, it's DBA (De Bellis Antiquitatis), I've a Theban army in 28mm. And a Gauls army in 1/72. It's a game I love, fast, very tactical and cheap! I also ordered days ago the rules book of FOG (Field of Glory). And I'm pl...

Re: You Voted: Best Fiction Author Results
I believe Tolkien is the nº1 because most of us grew with it, it was the window of all fantasy, so to speak. Reading again it may not seem the best of the best, although none can take away his merits for creating a new fantastic world, languages, etc. And when it comes to art and literacy, it's not ...

My favorite band is Tool, no question. They write some of the richest, most thought-provoking material out there. You can spend hours just researching their album art . I also love Rush, A Perfect Circle, Baroque/Classical music (Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, etc.) Rage against the Machine/...

2) Why did you choose this nickname; what does it mean? If anyone is familiar with a band called the Talking Heads, you get 10 points.
