Re: Would anyopne be up for an rpg?
I'm intrigued about how you would turn that into an RPG. Tell me more?

Re: What the hell happened?
Age of Sigmar can be a fun game, but (for me) it does not even come close to scratching the itch that WHFB fulfilled for me. Of course, with 2 young kids, my gaming time is practically nothing, but firing up Netflix and painting models can be a great time to relax.

Re: Any more Asrai left in these woods?
Age of Sigmar was interesting, but the 8th edition armies felt shoehorned in, I'm waiting to see the elf faction rules when(if?) they ever come out. I looked at 9th age, but it was way too similar to 8th edition for my liking. I'm just finishing some models, and playing a lot of WFRP these days, but...

There's always the old standby of eagle redirection. It's perfect for just such an occasion as this.

Re: AoS Strategy: Charge and Flee (sacrifice tactic)
I'm not sure how you mean to move one glade guard forward and the rest back and keep unit cohesion. Could you elaborate? I take A unit must be set up and finish any sort of move as a single group of models, with all models within 1" of at least one other model from their unit. If anything cause...

Re: Games Workshop Store:
MerlinEF,
Is there a reason your store is pushing for round bases?
I like the ability to play AoS with either, but it's so different (for better or for worse) from WHFB, that I find I can't bring myself to rebase my army so that I can go and play 8th edition also if I want to.

Baardah, I like that idea, but would you do anything to cap the # of wounds/models per warscroll or leave it open?

Re: Old Glade Lord model
It really seems like GW is trying to break away from the traditional concept of "armybooks". Barring rules for allies, each armybook provided a unique way to experience Warhammer through it's particular sets offerings of options and drawbacks. Dwarves offered consistently high Leadership, ...

Re: WotSF Age of Sigmar
Well, the Stormcast Eternal player didn't show up, so I played against a guy using the HE side from Island of Blood. Battle Report: My dice had a mutiny. The waywatchers couldn't hit squat. The Warhawk Riders all decided to become pacifists. I ended up taking a unit of dryads which did well, which w...

Re: AoS Point Cost Algorithm!
I played some games of AoS this weekend and I must say, I'm horribly disappointed. I might give it a try once in a while if a friend is looking for a game, but I certainly won't go out of my way to play it unless it undergoes a significant revision.

Beat the summoning roll. Or perhaps, base cost +1/model remaining in the unit (+1 for a spell that summons 5 models, +1 per 2 models remaining for a spell that summons 10, etc)

Re: Help With Kitbashing
I love kitbashing. All the elven models are pretty compatible in terms of parts, the only thing to look out for is that the 3 elven types have different armor styles so you have to be a bit choosy about what bits go where so it doesn't look too squirrelly. So here are my suggestions for GW models th...

Re: 8th Edition vs Tomb Kings, 2000pts, choice of lists
If he doesn't (or can't) bring a catapult, I like a Treeman a lot more than just taking one blind. Will you be playing with End Times magic? Assuming you take a lv 2, your dispel capabilities may be a bit limited allowing spells to get through. I wouldn't take Strangleroots personally, but I don't h...

Re: 8th Edition vs Tomb Kings, 2000pts, choice of lists
I like the second list better, but I tend to avoid blocks of troops so having EG and WWR in a list doesn't suit my playstyle so well. I like the Glade Guard over the scouts also.

Age of Sigmar Charging
Has anybody else noticed that you can hide behind a building/terrain, move out from behind it, then make a charge move from complete safety? Is it me, or is that something that really needs to be fixed?

Have you considered magnetizing the hands so you can do weapon swaps between hammers and swords or paired weapons instead of the shield? Or would that be too much effort for this model?

Re: Printer Friendly Warscrolls
My issue is not "book format", honestly I'd rather have them on separate sheets like MerlinEF so I can spread them all out in front of me at the same time without flipping back and forth. My issue is the graphics and the ink-intensive parts of the warscrolls and wanting to save my printer ...
