Re: Planned Wood Elf Standard Bearer
Starting with photoshop is a great way to plan things out. I do the same. Since I use photoshop 8-10 hours a day for work it's very fast and natural, and I actually get the colors quite closely matched between the planning and the end result. As for your colors, I think they look great! The blue is ...

Re: Progress Blog: Autumn Wood Elves
Update! Almost done with the Glade Guard unit. Have a few last details, highlights and fixes to do before I base them. Biggest step left is the highlights on the cloaks. Still not happy with the colors I've tried so far. Need to get a better camera, just using my iphone. Colors are actually pretty c...

Re: hpm - Blog completed. Final army shot.
Looks great man!! Beautiful army. Not to steer conversation away from your WEs but in response to your unhappiness with AoS, check this thread out. http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?410805-Applying-Point-Cost-to-Age-of-Sigmar-Models Lovely army though. I hope you can find a way to field i...

Re: Progress Blog: Autumn Wood Elves
Thanks guys! I'm almost done with the unit now, just need to highlight the cloaks and the leather like ya'll said. I'm struggling to find the right color to use for the cloaks. Will probably have to mix something, which I prefer not doing. The darker leather will have some very light skrag brown dry...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
If there is no save you divide by 7. My friends and I don't use many warmachines, but someone else using this system tried them at x1.5 and x2 whatever the formula gave and said that range felt pretty balanced. I know this won't create a PERFECTLY balanced set of points, but it allows us to say &quo...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
I've already done the points using this system for 3 armies. It works pretty well as a starting point. for wizards I added a flat 20 points to the cost. Certain other changes were made in the case of war machines and monsters, as well as heroes with a lot of super powerful abilities. Will be playtes...

Some really good points there, especially on the charging with odd numbers. Will be trying out your theories soon!

Re: hpm - Blog completed.
Beautiful army man! I love all the conversions. Thought I was being original when I bought the witch elves to convert into wardancers. There's just so much more motion and energy in those models, and the poses are a lot more natural than the official wardancers! Also loved your waywatchers, gluing t...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Some additional information from GW about AoS and its future. Don't know how accurate this is, but sounds legit.

Progress Blog: Autumn Wood Elves
Heya everyone! I'm just getting back into Warhammer after several years of absence. My goal is to get a fully painted Wood Elf army done to a consistent and moderately well-painted standard. Not aiming to win competitions, just want a pretty tabletop army. I plan to be able to play 8th with friends ...

Re: To go Autumn or Modryn? Pic heavy
These are awesome! I just started painting my Autumn themed wood elves as well. Absolutely love the oranged tips on the Dryads. Took note of that for when I get around to doing mine!

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Honestly, from a business perspective, I see where they are coming from. I imagine there will be 8th ed tournies unless something changes. But the simpler game is smart. I've already got a few people back into the game specifically because it's smaller scale and faster than before.

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
On those 'fun' rules, I just think of them as always being there. If they simple wrote the rule "may reroll hit rolls" then would that make it better? It's just giving the unit the benefit without the dance or staring contest or shouting. It's like the old rule about ork vehicles moving fa...

Re: Back to Warhammer
Thanks for the links Frogboy! Yep I already realized how interesting my timing is. Dove right into the rules last night and began commenting on those threads. I think for now I'm going to stick to square bases so I can play both.

Back to Warhammer
Heya everyone, my name is Alex, and I'm just beginning to get back into Warhammer. Haven't played much since 6th and 7th, though I played a couple months right when 8th came out. Haven't played since then due to life stuff. I started as a WE player but then got into O&G which I had a blast playi...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Overtninja, I agree with almost everything you said. All in all, this looks super interesting. I didn't play 8th, I literally just decided to start playing again, so I can't compare it to what everyone's been playing recently. But I played for years a while back and this seems more straightforward, ...
