Re: Yanchusart's Army Progress - Updated 03/09/2017 - Pic He

Hi! Really nice work one theese models! I've just started to paint again a bit after a long time away, also an atumn theme. For me it was the most unique style of painting since most other armies I've seen has been some sort of greenish colour. I also started now to get my Glade guards done all the ...

Re: 9th Age

The Swe-comp guys have created a well known and widespread system with swecomp. I agree on that if anyone will do this right it's them :)

After reading up on this new ruleset I'll be happy to give it a go! Thanks for the battle report Etheneus  !

Re: Age of Sigmar SDK

Kinda pessimistic, don't you think? As far as posterity goes... I think this game might actually create a future generation, and that's more then can be said of 8th. Not pessimistic at all. I just don't think that this game will ever provide the tournament-type experience that WFB did. I'm all for ...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online

I really hope some more rules will be written for AoS army composing. I think that spending that kind of money for a (game) hobby should come with a more specific rules set that promotes everyone not just slamming down whatever they feel like in whatever manner they feel like. The rules are too flex...

I don't get how to build an army. How do you balance a battle with 2 armies since there is no point costs anymore?

Re: Table too small

If you use 3 plates of plywood 2x4 like I said you can probably transport them and store them easier than a single large plate. But maybe your floorboards will work (they could end up not being completely flat but you'll find that out soon enough I guess :D) Joolz: that mat wouldn't increase his ta...

Re: Table too small

You can always buy a right size plywood piece. They are pretty cheap and should come in those exact measurements. Easy to store etc. Just put it on the table. If you had the budget I would suggest ordering a "F.A.T Mat" from Frontline gaming, they are awesome and I just ordered one myself :)

Re: I'm new :)!

Thanks :p ! Yes I have tried to keep myself updated with 9th, and so far I've already made all my purchases of WE :D ! So if everything is tured up side down I'll just have to accept it (not that I think it will). I'll probably keep playing 8th in either case with close friends and family, especiall...

Re: Thinning out GW glue?

I think I agree. GW glue (and many other modelling supplies) doesn't hold that high quality for those prices <.< . However I desided to give it a last go and bought the thin plastic glue. Time will tell how well it works (becoming dry/thick etc), so far it's been working fine on my Sisters.

Re: 2000 point WE army vs Skaven friendly games

Would waystalkers be an idea vs the engineers and the warpfire throwers/mortar/ratling gun? I love the idea of Waystalkers and would really want to try it out. Ping those dudes off :smirk: ! I'm not sure how much I will need a BSB, maybe swap him for a Waystalker? Or bring both? =o Question: The Si...

@ aFaun It seems like atleast I will have a good time playing hehe :) ! I'm sure he will make changes if it's a crushing defeat on his part. But I do know that he is a very sneaky opponent so he might have something up his sleeves <.< I'm feeling confident all the same though! @ chickenbane Well Iki...

Re: 2000 point WE army vs Skaven friendly games

Ward save on your mage would definitely be good, and lore of shadow will be useful for debuffing the enemy. Main advice would be that eternal guard usually won't do all that much in combat (unless you get withering off vs ghe unit they are facing) but as they are stubborn they arr great chances to ...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?

I think that an introduction to a more board game like approach will happen in WFB aswell. Like that limited 40K board we saw before on GW website. Perhaps also more scenario based Warhammer play with more terrain based playstyle. That's the vibe i got from the store-manager anyways. Also old models...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?

So... I was just in the Games Workshop store here in Oslo and I spoke to the store-manager (who is from UK) about 9th edition and the upcoming Sigmar event. I said I was both exited and nervous since it seems like fantasy as we know it will be so dramatically changed. He asked me what I've heard to ...

Just as a clarification on the Skaven list. I'm not sure Ikit Claw will be used as the named character or just model replacement for a Seer. Both alternatives will probably see some play.

2000 point WE army vs Skaven friendly games

Hi guys! So here's my first official army list and I would really appreciate some feedback on it versus Skaven. I haven't played for more than 10 years (and even then it was a bit iffy) but I'm really stoked about WFB and been so ever since I got in to it all those years ago. I've followed this foru...

Thinning out GW glue?

Hello! I'm not 100% sure I'm in the right topic section but here goes. Do anyone have experience or any tips/help with too thick GW plastic glue? I'm new :)!

Hello everyone! I'm Joolz and I've been visiting this forum alot since I restarted my Wood elves some months ago. I painted and played Wood elves like 10-15 years ago (I'm 28 now) but now I wanted to do a brand new, fairly well painted, army. I haven't played that much but I'm familiar with basic g...
