OK, i recently did something like this for my Undead. The "glow" you're referring to is known as OSL (object source lighting) or just SL and it's quite tricky, but i'll give you a link to a place that helped me: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/106 Mainly it's about experimentation...

Pretty nice, good colour scheme, decent highlighting. Great for a first model! My only advice is, correct me if i'm wrong but, it looks like you tried some NMM on the spear which is fine but the colour change needs to be much more gradual if you want it to actually look like metal..it kinda looks li...

Yep, that's what i'm basically doing at the mo, but it's still slow work because of all the conversions i'm doing...still, they're what i enjoy most .

At first i thought the same, but now i see there are highlights. I think the problem is that you simply don't have enough colours on the models. In most colour schemes you see a mix of a few complimenting/contrasting colours, your colour scheme is all reddy purple with a little brown, i think you sh...

Can't wait to see the treemen, by falcons do you mean the birds that come with Skaw the Falconer? If so, cool idea . You could say that the Strangle root attack is the falcons attacking the enemy.

Yeah, but i just think it looks like some strange patterned jacket or something...i'd say either leave it or clip it all off and resculpt it.

It's just generally too unnatural looking, it sticks out a lot more than the rest of the torso details.
Find a good picture of the muscles and copy them from there.

The guy looks cool even if the chest muscles are a bit weird...as for the sword, if you mean the bulb thing just below the blade, i'd say cut it off and maybe GS a hand guard the same as the bit opposite the bulb in its place.

remember to keep the basing for the models fairly similair otherwise when you'll finished the army won't look coherent. Who cares, they look awesome!
