Re: 9th Age: Sylvan Elves

I've just read the book and for me it is fabulous. I am very sad that i'd sold a good portion of my wood elves to a fellow friend due to financial issues:( Now i think that I will definetely start again:) I loved the concept of Elven Cloak, sylvan blades, kindreds and nature aspects and especially t...

Re: Moving on from 8th

In our meta the most of fantasy guys tried Malifaux, and they seem to really enjoy it. One or two guys continued to play 8th and I and a few others started to play KOW. I can comment about KOW as i am one of the very few people playing it in my country (And our meta is only a few hundreds total play...

Re: MSU HE - 9th Age - 2400 vs Elves of Nature - 11.10

Thanks for the batrep SM, it was very good to be finally able to read a whfb batrep after AoS. The elves of nature played very good to his strengths with the exception of Glade Riders. The riders took a risk when they apperared near the bolt thrower with a mediocre chance of eliminating it. I 'd pre...

Re: 9th Age; Background and Theme

Adjectives: Fast, Agile, Neutral, Glass cannon, Stealthy
Characters: Ariel, Sisters
The least favorite thing: Inability to start glade riders on the table due to the wording of the ambush rule. The newest version of the 9th age deals with this but i wanted to mention it nonetheless.

Re: ETC Results

Gz for all the participants. Also it was our very first ETC experience for Team Turkey (I am not on that team, but my gaming buddies are). Hope that ETC will embrace 9th edition and Kings of War instead of AOS in the following years.

Re: Kings of War

Hi again, I played a second game using my new undead. I played with a teammate versus two player team. The game was a very fun as the winner can only be declared in the final. I hope that more people will try the game with their existing miniatures. There are two factions for the folk of Asrai: Elve...

Re: Kings of War

After the demise of Slaanesh to make the game more child friendly, my interest in GW slowly dies. I played and liked KOW and read some of the rules for Warthrone and liked what i've read so far. I would be very happy if new forum topics would be opened for these games.

Re: Kings of War

Only the nerve test but when your unit is dealt too many wounds, then only a snake eye roll will save your unit. And sometimes double 6 will route your precious dragon. This is why inspiring leaders holding the line is very important.

Re: Kings of War

Hi, First i'd like to tell that altough contrary to what i've said before in this thread, i tried kings of war 2nd edition with my wood elves. The game was a blast to me even the rules and units for 2 nd edition were not complete. The main rule book is coming in august and Mantic just released their...

Re: ETC Lists 2015

Those two glade riders may very well not come until too late. Banishment has a range of 24" which means the bunker will be in charge range of opponents' fast units; and wild riders can not flee from charge

I'm surprised that Bogi chose wild riders instead of sisters of the thorn for bus purposes. His list seems to a little weak against warmachines. Of course in my limited knowledge...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online

Some of the rules are good. Most of them is utter b.sh.t. Yeah the daemon player shall dance to get rerolls to hit, or better if she/he can coarce his/her opponent to join, he can get rerolls to wound too. And dwarf players shall grow beard to get rerolls. I am very dissapointed.

On the contrary they should do as they should not alienate old players. But guessing it will not happen...

Re: "Age of Sigmar" speculations

Warscrolls are due this saturday. I also have no intention to play unbound armies. My hope is that they will release whfb rules as open ruleset as wizards of the coast did with 3,5 ed d&d. When 4th sucked heavily, they returned to their roots in 5th ed. d&d.

Re: Eternal guards, how many?

Heavens and meteor spell (forgot the full name of the spell) is key to dark elves as they are very likeley to have too much casualities. Trueflight glade guards outshoot them very much. the main problem becomes repeater bolt throwers. Hagbane scouts would be ideal for the job. 12 hagbanes kills 1 re...

Re: Sisters of the thorn

It seems like just about every list I see on here has a Spellweaver of some variety leading their army. Would SotT provide enough magical firepower to make an effective magic phase with 2 units of SotT and a Lv 2 Singer? Well then your magic defence lacks very much and you habe to force spells to b...

Re: Eternal guards, how many?

Thanks for the comment. The most important issue (in my opinion of course) was the number of the eternal guard unit. I did not dare to fight with the opponent's horde unit which was protected by two pegasus masters and flanked by two hydras and two warlocks. The horde unit had the advantage of numbe...
