Re: Undead campaign

- I think they pulled out Ariel for this new campaign thing. I was hoping this was leading to a new box set including some more fresh models for WE and an Ariel special character, but it looks like they are doing some kind of campaign instead. I'm guessing Ariel will probably show up as a level 5 l...

Re: Undead campaign

skaven are getting a new bone ripper, thanquol and horned rat very soon too iirc, which could be their character, not saying they all have to be 7s across the board, but a couple few huge evil monsters, like the nurgle thing, negash and a couple of others, vs arial, sigmar and so on would be awesome...

Re: Undead campaign

This is a guess but I think what is happening here is each race will get a small campaign book and monster with some special rules etc... So this month it is Negash. The end of next month will be. This huge nurgly thing, possibly a character from the lore. Much later I can see Morghur being released...

brets are not coming this year. early next year is what the reliable people are saying on warseer now. 20th september is the big WoC release I believe, along with a big nurgly monster.

Re: Undead campaign

the 500 years thing isnt set in stone, that has come from other sources. But the reliable ones have said that the time line will be moving forward. Personally I don't mind that. There will still be plenty of narrative to create your self from that point on and the time has moved on a little with mos...

Re: Undead campaign

I'm looking forward to it. If this is heading where I think it is. I think we could see an Ariel model with rules released in the future, probably along with a beastman Morghur . I also believe we are getting something big a nurgly next month which based on its apparent size could be morghur/beast o...

Re: What Can Be Done With Bretonnia?

Well it doesn't look like brets are coming just yet anyway. Next up the return of Nagash both a model and something along with it I'm guessing. followed by Nugly stuff... This is almost certain to be true as well. 99% accurate really. quote from Darnok Usually I would post this in the already existi...

Re: What Can Be Done With Bretonnia?

Completely agree with sticking to knights and peasants, was merely saying there is a lot to draw from if they wish. For a big war machine type thing they could have an arc of the covenant type thing carried by monks. That would be really cool. It would need to be a 2 in 1 set so maybe the alternate ...

Re: What Can Be Done With Bretonnia?

Undead were one army khemri and vamps became separate. I doubt that will happen here though. Brets are really old.

There used to be kislev plus all the dogs of war armies. I would love Brets and kislev plus all the DOW to turn into one army though. That would be amazing!!!

Re: What Can Be Done With Bretonnia?

Norse don't have an army though. They are barbaric sure but they are based on Norse mythology rather than your more typically Conan type barbaric. Personally I think bretonnia has a huge amount to draw on from celts, Franco, Gaul and Breton mythology. Water spirits barbarians appear quite a lot, hav...

Re: What Can Be Done With Bretonnia?

Well if we look at French history we of course have the Gauls who predate the type of army bretonnia mirror in real life French history, nevertheless they could be incorporated with barbaric clans , after all WFB seriously lacks barbarians of any type. Though I think this may be too big a departure ...

Nice bat rep. Looking forward to your next 2.

In the future I would love to see you try a monster mash wood elf list in a bat rep. 2 dragons, 2 treemen etc.... Would be really cool. Anyway keep em coming :)

Re: Have you had any success running Combat Wood Elves?

Garion, it's cannon. Not an auto-win vs monster lists but if they roll well, it's very, very difficult. Sure, cannons are a pain for sure. But don't you think with the right supporting magic plus units thrown in to delete cannons asap a bunch of monsters and characters could actually be the answer ...

Re: Have you had any success running Combat Wood Elves?

Is there any reason I never see dragons in lists any more? What am I missing? Also I'm interested to hear if anyone has had success with Treemen, Treemen Ancients and Durthu. I'd love to see all 3 in a list that worked some day but they just seem to be too squishy atm....

Re: Scouts Proxies

nice one thanks. I think I would like to use the bodies of the Sisters of Avalon though as the heart ruby is something that appears on a few of the old Wood Elf models I have so they will fit my army nicely. But that still shows they should be pretty easy to kit bash along with eternal guard box. Wh...

Scouts Proxies

I was just wondering what people were using as Scouts. GW doesn't have any models for them. I had a look about and I thought maybe the High Elf Sisters of Avalon would fit http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Sisters-of-Avelorn Has anyone used these, or painted them up? On the sprue on the link above...

Re: Infuriating lack of models & GW policy

If you want a GW unicorn model just search for Blood Bowl Star player Lucky Luc. It was an amazon Unircorn star player in Blood Bowl 4th edition before 4th ed was scrapped and BB used LRB instead. Anyway. check on evilbay. The model is really nice.

Re: Nerfed forest spirits

Do people that are using the current army book as their first foray into a Wood Elf army feel the same way about the Forest Spirits? I would be interested to hear an opinion from someone who is just starting Wood Elves. Is all the doom and gloom because of how they are now vs. how they were in the ...
