Don't know if anyone's looked at the Hordes compendium, but we got kicked in the sprouts rather hard.

Re: Wood Elf Runes?
Just an observation I've made from looking at the mandala a bit, it is interesting that the sigils for both Loec and Nethu are based around the Edra rune from the High Elf book.

Re: 9th Age
To be fair, they are the ETC and Swedish comp guys; if there is hope for a continual and supported rules pack in the Fantasy scene, chances are it's through them.

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Quite possibly, but necromancy and death gods at the center of a pantheon doesn't seem neutral to me. Sounds fairly Eldary to me, Treemen and treekin et all become our Wraithguard/knights/etc. The way I see the elves going is the Asrai temperament and forest spirits (perhaps in a some new undead ma...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Technically it wasn't ad hominem attack; because he wasn't attacking him. Maybe he laid the irony on a bit thick, granted, but I don't think he was being especially dickish. If anything we al have things we like that we've created with the WHFB backstory. What I think he was pointing out was that w...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Well.. it's a valid question really... put Raimie and his fluff to rest and build something new in a new universe. Fantasy as it was wasn't viable for GW and they are making something new. I see no reason why the new fluff wouldn't be good either and I see no reason why I (and the rest of you) can'...

Bit of a dick move don't you think? How old are you to go insinuating insults on a message board? Actual contribution a little taxing is it?

Re: Shadowdancer and Waystalker item allowance
For the waystalker that would be hail of doom arrow. The 25 point allotment and 30 point cost of HODA is clearly intentional. Not sure what the intentions are behind the shadowdancer though. HoDA on the stalker seems like a pretty good choice. Obsidian lodestone ain't bad either. Moonstone on a sha...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Though, as with all of the 9th ed rumours; you could be looking at what spawned the rumour in the first place which may or may not invalidate said rumour. Just like the whole bubblehammer theory could have easily started from the Lizzies booking out on their temples and such. So we have as little no...

I've got some Fenrisian wolves coming to do as an Eternal Guard filler under the same premise, hadn't thought of using the handmaiden, but I love the model!
Great idea, could even be a glade rider proxy if you wanted really.

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
Are you guys still waiting for the half of the wood elf model release that was rumoured but never took place? The one where 'respectable' rumour mongers had seen new warhawks and wardancers, waywatchers and forest dragons and such? Yeah me too. Think people put far to much stock in all this 9th ed r...

Owns everything from supersoaker water pistols to transformers to wizards of the coast (magic the gathering, dungeons & dragons etc). Wow, I didn't realize Hasbro owned WotC. That kind of blows my mind. I'm not sure they do know how to manage it well. They own dungeons an dragons, and they've b...

It's the way it all fits together. I can't really get my head around the HE's fighting for a guy who makes Ghengis Khan look like Mother Theresa. To be fair, there were a LOT of Chinese and Korean people working for the Mongols. That's how they got the siege weapons to batter down castles (from the...

Honestly all I can think about is how fun the next Wild Hunt into Brettonia is going to be! I say we'll be taking back Brettonian lands within the decade. Dibs on the first castle that is vineyard and river access adjacent. Mollywhopping mon'keigh knights and Slaaneshi hookers never looked so good.

Re: End of Times Elven Legions
I do wonder about the possibility of an eternal guard block, given frenzy from a death hag, a 6++ from an Annointed of Asuryan and being boosted by a lvl1/2 Asur high Mage with Shield of Saphery. Maybe with a Sea Helm bsb with BoTWD changing their formation when needed. :sexy: This could work with ...
