Re: Wildwood Rangers

Rangers can be used instead but are more commital. The unit (and combat build army) has certain weaknesses that demand great care in list-writing and play. I agree with you here, if you are making a combat build army then you need to commit to it and write your list around this. My current list inc...

Re: Wildwood Rangers

Oh the embarrassment, razor standard is above the 25 point limit. silly silly me. the flamming banner is also a good option for the WWR I agree though S5(wwR and Wild riders on the charge) is better then S3( eternal guard/ dryads). That is why i use glade guard, and glade riders as my core. But they...

Re: Wildwood Rangers

I find a unit of 25-30 WWR works well in my list, with razor standard and a life mage for +2-4T makes them durable, it also helps them being in any wood as rerolling 1's to wound help.

For me they are an auto include.

How does a shadow dancer take magical armour

Hi All, i have been racking my brains, and the rule book and i have been unable to find where it states that the Shadow dancer can take magic armour as it cannot take any mundane ones. I have seen builds with the glittering scales, which has synergism, but i cannot see how it is legal. Please help a...

Re: Combat Elves 2400 point Swedish comp

Played my mates Dark elves today, and i can honestly say it was a combination of me, the dice and my list that provided his Khanite list with victory. But that is a great thing, as i learn more from defeat then i do from victory, i went down 17-3 but i was not tabled at least. So stay tuned for an u...

Re: Best Lv2 Support lore for Combat elves

I agree, if dark or high could have been taken on our singers as well, it would have been a no brainer to include one of them with the sisters, or even on foot.

Re: Combat Elves 2400 point Swedish comp

I have a game this weekend, and will give the metal weaver a run, i am also open for suggestions as where i could run my bsb as i have been thinking lately that having him , the darkweaver in my eternal guard would make for too tempting a target to concentrate fire on. I can make all the options for...

Re: Combat Elves 2400 point Swedish comp

Thank you all, It has given me a lot to think about. @Coyle_Ravane - my thinking about using the lore of light , is mostly for the sig spell, it adds another magical threat to my army as would the metal sig spell. the buffs from the lore of light apart from phars protection would maily be geared tow...

Combat Elves 2400 point Swedish comp updated with new list

Hi All, This is my current take on my combat elves, i have decided to keep the dryads in the list and add in a unit of Eternal Guard to bring the pain. I have no doubt that my list will change before the event, once i start tweaking it more , but so far this is what i have. 2397pts 14.9 SC Lords 320...

Re: Advice on dealing with large 40+ unit size hordes

At this stage I am still finding my feet with my type of list, but my most recent incarnation is here http://www.asrai.org/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=27973

Ghoul hordes at the moment cause me some issue, but that is okay i am still finding my feet.

Advice on dealing with large 40+ unit size hordes

Hi All,

I could not find this subject with the search function, but i am interested with how others deal or avoid dealing with an opponents 40+ strong unit in the horde formation, ghouls etc.

Re: 2400 point swedish

Many thanks for the feedback, i am going to be making some changes to the list, dropping shadow for heavens or metal, adding in a dancer and perhaps drycha , aiming for a comp score between 15-16. Alos i may add some wardancers.

Hi All i will be attending a tournament 2400 points using the swedish system for comp. Re: Help! Need new tactics!

I wish i had read this post before the tournament i just attended, i encountered two vampire armies, both with a 40+ ghoul horde that i just could not counter, the first game i charged my wild riders into it and held for three turns, but the writing was on the wall at that stage. This thread h...

Re: New List for Review, 2600points.

Thank you for the feed back Phil, i have found the combination of light and shadow a potent one as most of the spells ignores MR buffs, i have plans to split my wild riders into two regiments and i am interested into hearing more of your thoughts on the gleaming pennant use.

Cheers

Hi all, Many thanks on the feed back/ discussion. My current list is maxed out on my eagles and as yet i do not own any warhawk riders to use. Re: Facing Nagash - List for review

My 2 cents would be to change the singer from beast to light and let the extra d6 hits really hurt the undead and powered up shems will be 3d6 st5 hits, but more for the Pha's protection, i have found the -1 to hit when bubbled is worth its weight in gold, or at least i prefer light to beasts, but t...
