Re: The Question Game
"The-whats" is the impact sound created by a barrage of trueflight arrows being fired behind cover, at range, over a forest and into the skirmishing flyer, right?

Re: ETC Openhammer
I've registered and plan on discussing some of the changes. Lots of good things and then some bad ones too. Here are some of the changes to WEs: Treekin S5 Dryads can skirmish for free Ambush is optional And then there are a few I don't agree with but might be ok when joined together with the other ...

Re: New Glade Lord model
Seems very unlikely that a new Durthu model will be released so soon after the most recent release... Yeah, but the guy was right about them being "sold out" when they clearly didn't run out of them in a matter of hours. Maybe they were planning on making a different treeman special chara...

Re: New Glade Lord model
Yeah. Unfortunately the negative side of me has come to believe we'll never see a new "Wood Elf" model again. I think there might be some "Life Aelf" faction or something down the road that is distantly related to what we have now, but I think the days of the Wood Elf model rang...

Re: New Glade Lord model
I don't see a new model, but one that they haven't sold in a while.
However, I did notice the dryad and treeman scrolls are gone. I guess they removed them with the upcoming release.

Re: Games Workshop Store:
I just left my local GW store last night. The guy talked me into buying one of the new treeman kits. I have two old models, one metal and the other finecast. I think the new one is amazing, but didn't feel like paying for it just yet. His talk sealed the sale. His words: They are redoing Durthu and ...

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
Rules for the things in the starter set rules may not be out yet, but they are releasing rules for new stuff outside the starter set. The Stormcast Eternals and Lord-Celestant on the website have a 'Rules' tab next to the description: http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Stormcast-Eternals-Liberator...

Yes, that is correct. Although, it's only a 6+ so the dragon isn't really super, fun happy. More like mildly happy. Kinda like getting clothes for your birthday as a kid happy.

Re: Are Treekin really that bad?
Against many armies that's fine. But what about a cav bus buffed up with Ward saves? What about really fast monsters like the K'daai Destroyer? What about WoC heroes on Daemonic mounts? I agree fewer redirectors are needed these days but a couple can still be very useful in important match-ups. It'...

Re: Starting 750 point list
You aren't taking advantage of what makes our archery so great. I think this is a mistake. I would take hag bane on your GR and I'd split that unit of 14 GG into 2 units of 7 scouts with hag bane. I'd then either give your GG true flight or hag bane. It brings you closer to 800, but makes for batter...

And the rules for the twins will be as if riding a monster and they count as one model (the twins) with T3 and 4W. Still really hard to kill with shooting.

Yeah, I left out Wild Riders because I wasn't sure what he'd be bringing. To expensive if they can't get near anything.

Re: starting 500 pt army
I'd be very cautious about the idea of starting the first turn, possibly the second, third and fourth turns without 110 on my 500 points. I think that's a big mistake at this points level. I could be wrong, but that would make me very nervous. However, they could come in during turn 2 and win the ga...

Re: New Player Help
Welcome to the Woodies. Here is my two cents: You want a good but cheap 500 pt base. Buy 2 boxes of glade guard. That's 32 glade guard and/or scouts. That gives you plenty of both for your beginning army and for when you bump it up to 1,000. Then get yourself a mage. Get your favorite model or the c...

Re: 2400pt No Comp Tourny
The Treeman is cool but whether he fits in an almost pure avoidance army is another matter. I'm not sure if just one mage is enough without comp. These were both my first thoughts on the list. Verbatim. You could actually drop the treeman and pick up a unit of sisters to be your other casters. They...

Re: 1,500 vs Dwarves
Take them on the eagle... But then you prolly lose a caster Yeah, I meant on the eagle. Then I'd probably take a lvl4 w/ heavens, moonstone and scroll in a large block of GG. Something like this: lvl 4 heavens, scroll, moonstone Twins on eagle 5 GR poison 18 GG poison 9 scouts poison 9 scouts poiso...

Re: 1,500 vs Dwarves
Thanks for all the responses. Does anyone like the twins for this matchup? I'd be playing them as a ridden monster. I've yet to play with them, and would love to break them out. I can easily move the points up to 2,000 or 2,500 if necessary. 1,500 is just so much quicker. Also, what about wild rider...

1,500 vs Dwarves
So, I've got a 1,500 game vs dwarves coming up this weekend and I haven't played against them in 5+ years. Would anyone be will to share some thoughts on what works well against dwarves and if there are any "auto-includes" in a list against dwarves? I have no idea what my buddy is taking o...

Re: Ninth Edition - End Times for real?
The thing I object too is that old models might be unusable. The time I spend on the hobby has a relation to the cash I want to spend.. in the past I spend more and I want to be able to use those (expensive) models (painted which also took time and sweat and tears ;) ) now I have less time to play....
