Using up left over bits.
Hello everyone. With the amount of spare bits from the sprues, especially the generous Glade Guard and Rider sprues, I wanted to try and use up as many spare bits as possible. There are plenty of extra heads, torsos and arms, but it's the legs that limit how many complete miniatures you can make fro...

Wow your'e back Arimata! How exciting! Your work is always great to look at. You inspired me to make my army guerilla themed, and even to grow myself dreadlocks in real life. I can't wait to see what new pieces you are working on.

Re: 1500 All-rounder
Good idea NonnoSte. I can try that down the track when cannons annoy me too much, and if 5 Wild Riders can still get their job done. And Blackcat, yeah I can change one or both units to Hagbane when I know I'm playing a race who can field cannons. Though I don't want to tailor the list towards them....

Re: 1500 All-rounder
Cheers guys.
Hopefully the cannons won't last the game either.
And yeah I think that the Sisters are the weakest part so I could try swapping them for more arrows after having a few goes with them.

1500 All-rounder
Hi everybody. How are you? This is the army that I have written to take around with me to shops/friends places so that I dont have to lug around more miniatures than I need to. And I dont like having to first write a list when someone asks for a game, I'm always keen to just get straight into it. So...

They look really really cool! They look very magical and alive. Great idea and great design.
And 3D printing is very innovative.

Some painted things (not new release stuff though)
Hi! I'd like to take a minute to share a few characters that I have painted. It's what I promised myself to finish before the new Wood Elves were released (like that promise was gonna happen). Wood Elves appeal to me for their earthy/rustic feel, so that is what I have tried to emphasize. The male s...

That looks great. The posture with the spear and the bow under his cape looks cool. Simple and effective. The fur looks good so far too.

Re: Experiences with non-GW paints?
I have similar experience with the replies so far. I buy tamiya brand paints, theyre almost half the price and have a nice wide, unscrew cap that makes it easy to stir. Ive only bought 2 gw paints and i find them both gluggy.

Things unique to wood elves
Hi. I recently learned in another live thread that dark and high elves don't get fast cav for their elven steeds, which makes me wonder what other benefits do we have that no other army or very few armies have. Some things, such as our fast cav, i have been taking for granted, so i would like to lea...

I like these ideas, soft cover due to camouflage sounds good. The old rule that godswearhats brought up about simply having to spot them first sounds excellent. A wizard should be able to see them in the first case to cast a spell on them, or a unit to charge them. Sounds like a unique kind of save.

i concurFindecano wrote: Oh dear, I sincerely hope not, unicorn cavalry would give wood elves more of a 'my little pony' feel and that is the last thing I want for them. They're already arguably the most feminine faction in wfb, I'd rather they didn't get taken the rest of the way.

very nice find Dusk. i also envision a treeman like this. he actually looks mean. he looks just like a giant, but a giant made out of a tree. and he hardly fits on his base! id love to field him on my side of the tabletop.

calingor's and ranu's
hello. may i have some small clarification on calingor's stave and ranu's heartstone please. calingor's stave: does "(and attempt to cast)" mean that even if the mage fails to cast the spell, she can still try to cast it again? (and again and again!) ranu's heartstone: with the amendments ...
