Re: AoS 1000 point list!
Actually if I swap Orion out for a Forest Dragon, then I could put another unit of Waywatchers in.

Re: AoS 1000 point list!
I played a 1250 point list keeping the same parameters as a 1000 point list but with 1-5 leaders, 2+ Battle line, 0-3 artillery, 0-3 Behemoths. (50 points either way) I used (1260 points) Glade Lord (Hail of Doom) *General* Orion Tree Lord 3 Kurnoth Hunters w/great swords 10 Glade Guard 3 Way watche...

Re: AoS 1000 point list!
Nice!
What armies were you up against?
I have really been struggling with trying to get a cohesive list, but that is nice!
What artefacts and command traits have you been using?

Re: AoS Wild Hunt 1000points list
I did have some success with a couple of my other lists Forest Dragon Lord 10 Wild Wood Rangers 10 Glade Guard (Battle line) 10 Dryads (Battle Line) 5 Sisters of the Thorn (The Forest Dragon & Wild Wood Rangers combo charge is lethal) and... Green Knight (Leader) 5 Sisters of the Thorn 6 Treekin...

AoS Wild Hunt 1000points list
Hey denizens of the wood, I'm not sure how many of you are invested in playing Wood Elves in Aos, but if you are I would appreciate some advice :) I have been playing my gaming group and have been having quite mixed results. I'm not sure how the points are balancing things out. My opponents are play...

Re: Sylvaneth cometh
I really like the Kurnoth Hunters, all 3 weapon variants, and I really like the Branchwych.
Personally, I really don't like Drycha, the Spite Revenants, and I'm quite torn on the Alarielle model.
What do you guys think of the points for AoS Wood Elves?

Apparently the new kits are being called Tree Revenants.
The other kit is something like Hunters of Kurnous. Our god lives!!! \m/ \m/

There appears to be Treemen with bows, fey/dryad style Aelves with single handed blade, and a 4 armed Treekin type dude.

Re: Sylvaneth cometh
although I don't and won't use the Order alliance and instead use the original battlescroll for the Wood Elf army, thse could fit in quite nicely!! the fluff for all of my battles and army is set from Athel Loren. The King is still the King! ;) I'm really looking forward to the new stuff. It's been...

Re: The King & Queen in the Woods vs The Lord & Lady of Deat
Well done, even though it sounds like the Dice Gods were against you. I love the fluff. I'm such a sucker for that escapism and immersion. I like to "be there". Haha! Yeah, its kind of funny how Orion's buddies don't benefit from his rule, but I guess it's nice that they have that rule ind...

Re: Age of Sigmar to get points system
My little gaming group have fully embraced the AoS gameplay. I remain playing my Woodies, with all of the Old World fluff and it's great. We have fun with the narrative battles, which we have almost turned into a D&D style approach. It was never a power gaming environment, we just want to enjoy. ...

They look really good.
My mate did a similar thing for his Blood Knights and/or Black knights.
Cool Four Horsemen idea.

Re: Reincarnating Ariel - 8th Edition
I think you have done well. All of the rules and stats seem well justified. I don't think ethereal would be too over powered. There's no armour and quite a difficult save, plus if I remember rightly (been playing AoS loads), there is a lot of stuff with magic attacks so it's not as if she'd be impos...

Re: Mousekillers Works in Progress: Armies of Order
Looking good. Dragon colours look great and I like the Warrior Priest model. The colours on the dragon will make him stand out, especially if you give the rider green garbed robes. I really like the mixing of army units and factions in AoS. My main army (and where my heart lies) my Wood Elves are a ...

Re: Asrai Heroes in AoS
I used to use points but then I stopped. Battleline is an idea of the past. The math that goes behind a pointcost system is inherently unbalanced. All the different values fall on a curve so balance is impossible. Just play what you want to play and if your opponent is unreasonable then you simply ...

Re: Asrai Heroes in AoS
The Glade Lord works really well with glade guard. He gives them a re-roll to hit in an 8" bubble around him. This, coupled with the 'Arcane Bodkins' attack, makes for the strongest ranged attack you can imagine. Glade Lord also works well with the Wild Wood Rangers and Way watchers. Do you gu...

Re: Asrai Heroes in AoS
I've had some really great fun and results with the Shadow Dancer and her bridge of shadows spell. It works so well with Wild Riders, Glade Riders and Wild Wood Rangers. I've always been a big Orion fan and even more so with this edition. Fantastic power output and a good command ability, plus he ca...
