Re: Modeling characters on mounts
For characters on steed, I really only have a lord on steed (seems to be a bit older than the rest) and no mages or banner etc.

Re: Preparing old army for Old World
For my army I had the citadel woods baseplate cut up in squares as my basing... Guess i'll have to completely rebase everything. Also, let's not talk about the dryads that were skirmishers, that I had to rebase when skirmishers became the thing where there's half an inch in between when not in comba...

Modeling characters on mounts
There seems to be a lot of options for characters on different mounts, but almost all my characters are not mounted. Do people have any suggestions for moduler mounts? I can see some well placed pins/magnets to be a solution for foot/hawk/eagle and even the forest dragon, since they could just be st...

Hope?
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say that I am really happy with the wood elf model in the Cursed City box. There may still be hope for wood elves!
Greetings,
A forest dweller

Re: Heads Exploding! Age of Sigmar Rules Released Online
What's the point of summoning if you can just start the game with all of those models anyways?
edit:
Don't say outnumber rules, because if you're outnumbered by deamons of chaos there is no rule that'll fix that:P

I don't think you get to have your free forest, so at least for wood elves, there is a clear advantage to play the army book.

Re: 500 point shooty list
It was part of a campaign, where your general can "level" and gain more attacks for example. Also killing the enemies general gives you more xp and the possibility of them loosing some. I agree that a mage would probably be better. You will be awesome in the movement, magic, shooting and c...

Re: 500 point shooty list
I took a very similar list. I swapped the Mage with a waystalker and bow of loren, the gladeguard came with no arrows but a musician and the wildriders with mus, standard and shields.
Not having a mage hurts though.

Re: Strider Rule and Foests
There is no conflict. Venom thicket forces dangerous terrain tests. Forest strider ignores dangerous terrain tests when in a forest. A venom thicket is a forest.
Being cavelry and moving through a forest forces dangerous terrain tests, do you see that as conflicting with the forest strider rule?

Ever considered adding two magnets? Of course pinning works fine too.

The army book, bottom of the page, it says that you can read from the profile that 10 eternal guards equipped with shields cost 110 points

Cheaper eternal guard???
According to page 86 we are allowed to take 10 eternal guard with shields for 110 points rather than 120 points. Go games workshop!

Re: February 2014 Painting Challenge
I think the point is that you have to make a reasonable representation of a unit entry in our current army book, that is a single model. Or am I mistaken?

Was finally able to decide on a color scheme for my wolves. They all have the basecoat done and started doing highlights on the back-right one.

Re: Wildriders in Progress
Problem might not have been the correct word..... it should have been challenge. I am happy with the result. It would also be possible to replace the bionic parts with dryad bits, it would fit the theme well and would require a lot less effort.

Have you considered sculpting cloth skirts on top of the metal skirts? That would increase the amount of models available to you.

Re: Wildriders in Progress
The robotic parts were pretty bad actually, some had earphones and there was one with an bionic eye, I had to resculpt that and it was a bit above my skill level, but it is not too noticable. The other robotic parts (on the legs) were easier, they were below the fur level so I could just sculpt some...

Re: new to wood elf. please help
I have a similar character, on an eagle. But if you take the bow loren you really should take arcane bodkins (no armour saves) as well. Do note that you have to pay more for the charmed shield because it is listed in our army book.

Really impressive! How did you make that campfire?
When I see the unpainted version of the kneeling guy I see that the greenstuff is not completely mixed, is that to get the rough texture?

I started some of the greenstuff work.. Don't you just hate having to wait for the greenstuff to cure (having finger prints is worse though...)
